Carolina Giraldo Navarro (born February 14, 1991), known professionally as Carol J (in all writing styles), is a Colombian singer and songwriter. He is primarily described as a reggaeton and Latin trap artist, but has dabbled in a variety of styles including reggae and sartanja. She is also famous for being a very famous woman in the reggaeton scene. In 2018, he won the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist, and has been nominated multiple times for the Billboard Latin Music Awards and the Lo Nuestro Awards. Born and raised in Madrid, Giraldo started his career as a teenager, appearing in the Colombian spin-off of The X Factor. To learn more about the music industry, he moved to New York in 2014 and signed with Universal Music Latin. His collaboration with Puerto Rican singer/rapper Bad Bonnie was a huge hit on Call Me Now, and was the lead single from the album Unstoppable, released in 2017. In late 2018, the song "Secret" became so popular in Latin America that she and Anuel Aye publicly confirmed their relationship in the music video. In July 2019, he released the song "China" in collaboration with Anuel EA, J Balvin, Daddy Yankee and Osuna, which became his first music video with over one billion views on YouTube. In May 2019, he released the album Ocean. His song "Tosa" featuring Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj achieved international success and was certified 28x Latin Platinum by the RIA, and spent 25 weeks on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. In 2020, Carol J received 4 nominations at the Latin Grammy Awards.
