Prince Rogers Nelson born June 7, 1958 – died April 21, 2016 was an American singer, songwriter, pop icon, and actor. Hailed as a soul and funk music legend and pioneer of the "Minneapolis Sound", Prince owes his fame to his innovations, flamboyant looks and spectacular concert performances. Selling more than 100 million copies of Prince's work worldwide, he is on the list of the best-selling music artists. Rolling Stone magazine ranked him 27th in the "100 Greatest Artists of All Time" list.
